In addition to his business, Jim has been actively involved in the Mayville Community for many years. Jim served as 4-H Leader when his children were active in 4-H.
He volunteered with the Mayville Jaycees and served as State Vice President in that organization for one year. Held the office of Mayville Village Clerk from 1972 – 2011, was a Director on the Board of the Mayville State Bank for 28 years, and was appointed to the Tuscola Intermediate School District Board of Education in 1977 and continues to serve in the capacity of Board President today. Jim currently serves the Mayville Area Ambulance Service as Director and has been an active EMT since 1977.
